Your ability to extend your Skymax warranty is available on completion of the Skymax installation. Each Warranty extension is available for 12 or 24 month terms (to a maximum of 10 years).
The Benefits of the Skymax Warranty (and Extended Warranty):
- Coverage for up to 1O years*
- Optional duration: 12 or 24 months
- No usage/operation limit within the warranty period
- All component repairs are covered, including parts and labour (excluding stated wear and tear items)
- Only Skymax original parts are used
- The Warranty and the ability to extend the Warranty within the age and condition
*Any Extended Warranty is not transferable to new owners.
Importantly, any Skymax Approved Warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) in particular your “consumer guarantee” rights. These rights are not excluded, restricted or modified by this warranty.
The following wear & tear components or units of the Skymax system are excluded from Extended Warranty claims:
- Electrical components including remotes, switches, receivers & sensors all have a standard 3 Year Warranty.
- Waterproofing sealants and silicone products all have a standard 3 Year Warranty.
- Visual defects, including powder coated profiles and parts fading or wearing all have a standard 5 Year Warranty.
As Skymax System ages, it might undergo visual and operational changes without affecting its functionality (e.g. fading powder coat on the aluminium). Visual and operational concerns and the wear and tear items listed above are excluded from the Warranty extension and should be attended to during normal scheduled Servicing and Maintenance.
Provided your system passes the technical inspection, extending your warranty is easy. Simply contact your Skymax Service Consultant. If you have recently had your Skymax System serviced your Service Consultant may even be able to extend your warranty over the phone without the need for an additional inspection.
If your Warranty has expired, provided the ownership of the property has not changed, the policy can also be extended once the system has passed the technical inspection and any faults detected repaired by Skymax.
